How It All Began...

Everybody knows Steve Job’s speech where he said: “The only way to do a great work is to love what you do.”

I realized how much I love to write while I was working in a personal agency in Slovakia. I had a chance to write about communication, soft skills, networking and many other interesting topics. It was a great job and I learned a lot about human resources and business development.

Life is really fabulous. It always gives us new opportunities and forces us to choose the right option and to make the best decision. And I did.

Last year I had the option to follow my heart and totally change my life. In August, I started a next chapter of my life with my fiancé Peter. He is the best student at the Harvard Kennedy School, at least in my eyes. ☺

To be honest, first three weeks were not as easy as I planned. I didn’t know what to do, where to go and I didn’t know anybody. I felt pretty lost but I was still sure that to come to Cambridge was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

I became a member and now a blogger for the Harvard Students’ Spouses and Partners Association (HSSPA). HSSPA gives me opportunities to improve and to be active.

I meet a lot of amazing people every day. They are mostly from Harvard, students, teachers and also new people from HSSPA. I try to discover the beauty of America and I keep myself always busy with volunteer activities. Learning is a never ending story and I like it.

I’d like to motivate you with Steve’s thought to do great things: “Have courage to follow your heart and intuition, they somehow already know what you truly want to become.” This speech gives me power and faith to follow my dreams and make them come true.
